Jerusalem Mill - KINGSVILLE, MD
OKAY, SO THIS IS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE LOCATION. HANDS DOWN. IT DOES GET VERY BUSY THROUGHOUT THE YEAR BUT THE WAIT TO GET A PARKING SPOT IS WORTH IT! I LOVE THIS LOCATION FOR YOUR MATERNITY SHOOT BECASE YOU GET A HUGE VARIETY OF SPOTS TO PICK FROM IN ONE LOCATION. THERE IS AN OLD BRICK BUILDING, A SPRAWLING OPEN FIELD, A COULE OF WOODEN BRIDGES AND A SUPER SHALLOW CREEK AREA WITH LARGE GREEN TREES AS YOUR BACKDROP. IF YOU ARE LOOKING FOR THOSE WARM GOLEDN HOUR SUNSET PICS THEN THIS LOCATION IS A MUST FOR YOU. This location is free but a permit is required (Don't worry, I handle that part).
THE LIRIODENDRON - BEL AIR, MD
THIS LOCATION IS RIGHT OFF OF Main Street IN THE HEART OF BEL AIR. THE GROUNDS ARE WELL MANICURED AND A GORGEOUS MANSION SITS ON THE PROPERTY. THERE IS A CANOPY OF GREENERY WHICH HUGS THE SIDE OF THE MANSION. IN THE SUMMER MONTHS THE WATER FOUNTAIN IS ON AND ADDS TO THE RELAXING ATMOSPHERE OF THIS LOCATION. THIS LOCATION IS ALSO A WEDDING VENUE SO WEEKEND SESSIONS ARE LIMITED DURING WEDDING SEASON. This location is free to take photos outside.
hills grove picnic area- Jarrettsville, MD
this location is another one of my favorite spots in Harford County. I have never seen another photographer here at the same time as me. I love how intimate this location feels. It is not as sprawling as some of the other spots on this list but you still can get a golden sunset, open fields, photos by a shallow stream and wooded texture. this location is part of a state park so there is a entrance fee required.
king and queen seat- Jarrettsville, MD
If you live in Harford county then you have heard of the king a queen seat. This location seems like it would be treacherous but I put it on my maternity session list because it is truly so easy to get to this spot and there is no hiking involved! There is a parking lot 5 minutes away from this spot. I do like to get photos of you in a green area near the parking lot to give your session some variety. This is a state park so there is an entrance fee.
Eden Mill, Pylesville MD
This spot is a little hidden gem. everyone gravitates to the state parks but if you love learning about nature and the ecosystem, then this location is for you. It is usually not crowded and some days we have the place to ourselves. there is the cutest wooden pathway through the grassy marsh area, some gorgeous curated plants, a cute hidden wooden pathway near a butterfly habitat and a small water area. In the summer you can see kayakers floating down the adjoining creek. This location is free to take photos, there is a donation box if you feel like you want to support the thriving habitat.
secret location, Jarrettsville MD
This spot is very special to me. I come here sometimes to breath in the magic of it. You do have to walk on a trail for 5 minutes before it opens up to a beautiful clearing. We also can get some pretty shots by the water. This location is free to shoot at.

This location is easy for those coming from the city because It's pretty much right off I95. I love it for all the different locations it offers. I swoon at the beautiful landscaped grounds every time and in every season! This location is free to shoot at but gets busy during wedding season.
I mean come on, who doesn't love a huge weeping willow in their photos?!
It's usually hard to pick which location to take my clients to because I Love them all but I narrow down where to go to based on what the location looks like at that time of year; or I have them pick, which is always fun also.
