You do not need to know how to pose or have everything perfectly planned. I will guide you through the entire process while keeping the session comfortable and easy.

When should I book my maternity session?
The sooner, the better! I recommend booking sometime during your second trimester, around 18 to 24 weeks, to make sure I have availability. Most maternity sessions take place between 28 and 36 weeks when your bump is beautifully round but you're still feeling comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the experience. Every pregnancy is different though, so if you're expecting twins or have a high-risk pregnancy, we'll chat about the best timing for you.
How far along should I be for my maternity session, and what happens after I book?
Most maternity sessions take place between 30 and 34 weeks, when your bump is beautifully defined but you are usually still comfortable enough to move around and enjoy the session. If you are expecting twins, have a high-risk pregnancy, or tend to deliver early, we may schedule a little sooner.
Once you book, I will help with the rest. We will choose the best date and location, talk through the look you want, plan outfits, and go over options from my curated client closet. I will also send you everything you need before the session, so you can arrive feeling prepared, comfortable, and ready to enjoy the experience.

Designed with soft natural light and a clean, timeless aesthetic, the studio allows us to focus on what matters most, you and the beautiful story you're already telling.
To make your maternity session as effortless as possible, I offer a carefully curated client closet featuring gowns and wardrobe pieces in sizes XS through 3XL. Every piece has been selected to flatter a growing bump while creating the elegant, modern look my clients love. Whether you're drawn to flowing fabrics, fitted silhouettes, or something simple and classic, you'll have beautiful options to choose from without the stress of shopping for an outfit you'll likely only wear once. I'm happy to help style your entire family, too, so everything feels cohesive without looking overly coordinated.
For moms who want an even more elevated experience, I also work with an incredibly talented professional makeup artist located right here in the same building. Having hair and makeup done before your session not only helps you feel confident in front of the camera, but it also turns your maternity session into a little time to yourself before life gets a whole lot busier. There's no rushing between appointments or driving across town. Everything happens in one convenient location, making the day feel relaxed from start to finish.

Partners and children are always welcome, and I’ll thoughtfully guide everyone throughout the session so the experience feels relaxed and polished. We’ll create a beautiful mix of refined family portraits, natural connection, and elegant images of you on your own, giving you a complete gallery that feels personal, timeless, and elevated.

If rain, heavy winds, or gloomy skies are in the forecast, we'll simply reschedule. Absolutely! I have a carefully curated selection of locations throughout Harford County and the Baltimore area that photograph beautifully in every season. Some of my favorite places include Liriodendron Mansion in Bel Air, Swan Harbor Farm in Havre de Grace, Fells Point in downtown Baltimore, Jerusalem Mill in Kingsville, and Hampton National Historic Site in Towson. Each offers its own unique charm, from elegant estates and waterfront views to historic architecture and timeless gardens.
